The cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah enjoys great popularity among the audience. What many people might not know is that they got into acting after completing their education. Some of them even realised their love for the profession while pursuing an academic course. Take a look at the educational qualification of the cast.

Dilip Joshi, who plays the role of Jethalal and is the star of the sitcom, holds a Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) degree from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics. During his academic course, he was also given the Indian National Theater - Best Actor award.

Dayaben aka Disha Vakani holds a degree in drama from Ahmedabad. The actress has shown her talent not just on the small screen with Taarak but has also made appearances in films such as Jodha Akbar.

Mandar, who is seen playing Bhide in the sitcom, is a mechanical engineer. He told ETimes TV, "I am a mechanical engineer by profession and was working in Dubai. I quit my job and returned to India in 2000 as I wanted to pursue a career in acting. Acting has always been my passion since childhood.
