Dilip Joshi heartbroken over Shubh Mangal Savadhan co-star Amit Mistry’s demise; writes ‘Never thought I will have to write something like this on him’

Dilip Joshi is at loss of words as his Shubh Mangal Savadhan co-star Amit Mistry passed away earlier today (April 23). The show which starred the two together also had Sumeet Raghavan and Dilip mentioned they were a trio. Sharing a couple of pictures with him, Dilip wrote something emotional. Other actors are also mourning the 47-year-old actor’s sudden demise due to heart attack.

Dilip Joshi wrote, “Our trio’s broken today. But the memories will always stay with me. Will miss Amit and his wisecracks more than I can say.”

“He was a lovely man, a treat to work with and a delight to watch in action. Never thought I’d be writing something like this for him. May his soul achieve sadgati, and may God give us the strength to cope with such a huge loss,” Dilip wrote.

Remembering those days

The trio wwas quite known for this show, which aired between 2002-2004. It revolved around the lives of 5 people, who try to get married and find love in their lives.

Kiku Sharda’s senior in college

The late actor happened to be comedian Kiku Sharda’s senior in college. Hearing his demise, Kiku wrote, “Was a senior of mine in college, a friend, a colleague. Did lots of plays together, partied together. Will miss him. Wonderful actor and a soulful singer. Gone too soon. May your soul rest in peace.”

Sucheta Khanna’s long poem

Sucheta Khanna paid an emotional tribute to the late actor by penning a long note. It reads, “Amu my dearest dearest one. I really don't know what to say. Thank you for being a beautiful chapter in my life which is over now. You been so kind and Understanding. So genuine so there. Sumit Sambhal Lega fame Anand Tiwari, who has worked with the late actor in several plays and web show, wrote, “Mera Hero, mera dost, I still can't believe I have lost you @actoramitmistry . ur songs ur laughter will be in my memories forever.” Namit Das added, “This is so shocking Anand. I still can’t believe.”
