in Ekta Kapoor's series,

Kasautii Zindagii Kay

2. This role has grey shades and Karan's look as Mr. Bajaj has also been out for the audience to watch. The actor has been receiving applause for his look and congratulatory messages for bagging the role of Mr. Bajaj.

However, not many of them know that Karan Patel was a part of the original series of

Kasautii Zindagi Kay

(2001). He played the role of Karanvir Bohra's friend in that show. Karan's appearance was a brief but striking one. A fan shared a small glimpse of Karan Patel and Karanvir Bohra in a scene, which gives a sense of deja vu. Watch the video here:
Karan Patel shared the video on his Instagram story and also shared the appreciation posts that he received from his peers, Ravi Dubey, Ekta Kapoor and others.

From playing a small role in the original series to now playing a pivotal character in the reboot version of Kasautii Zindagii Kay, life has come full circle career wise, for Karan.
Earlier, this role was portrayed by Karan Singh Grover and due to the current pandemic scare, the actor did not resume work. Several names were in the front run for playing Mr. Rishabh Bajaj but Ekta zeroed down upon the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor.

Speaking about this role, Karan Patel had spoken to BT. He had said, "Mr Bajaj is an iconic character and not many people get the chance to play two big characters one after the other. Right after Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, I have got Kasautii. I must have done something right."
