Delnaaz Irani: You will never have a dearth of offers in showbiz if you belong to a camp or network with big names

Delnaaz Irani, who was last seen in Kabhie Kabhie Ittefaq Se, shares how favoritism is a part and parcel of showbiz. She said, "If you have connections and networked well in the industry, you are likely to be welcomed into the circle of big names in film and TV industry." The Akbar Birbal actress added, "I do believe that if you are part of a certain camp, and someone's favourite, you will not have a dearth of good offers. If you are hoping to be part of a good TV show, it will matter if the channel likes you. Then you will continue to be part of the channel's shows."

Delnaaz, who has worked for more than two decades in showbiz shares further how the profession is highly unpredictable. She said, "It's important to stay prepared for the best and worst. Opportunities come and go, and you have to handle them positively. With a positive mindset and attitude, you can completely change a situation. We are in an industry where rejection is quite common. Every day is a new challenge." The actress reveals how many factors influence the ups and downs of of an actor's career. "I have been in situations when I have given very good auditions, look tests, but I am dropped from the project due to low budget or favoritism."

Delnaaz spoke about how despite working for many years in showbiz, competition continues to be fierce and everyday is a challenge. She said, "Even though we have many platforms and mediums, it is tough to bag good roles because everyday there is a huge number of talented people who are coming to Mumbai with dreams. It is not easy, only if you are talented, networked well and have good luck, you can bag a big project."
