As Celebrity MasterChef approaches its grand finale, the competition is getting more intense. In a heartfelt twist, the latest episode features contestants being joined by their loved ones to assist them in the kitchen. During this special moment, Nikki Tamboli, alongside her father, prepares a dish that held a special place in her late brother’s heart. While speaking to the judges, she becomes emotional, reminiscing about the cherished memories associated with the meal.
In the recent episode, Nikki Tamboli becomes visibly emotional as her father showers her with praise. When Farah Khan visits her cooking station and inquires about the dish, Nikki shares, "We are making deconstructed Vada Pav." Chef Ranveer Brar then asks her why she chose this dish, to which Nikki reveals that it was her late brother's favorite, making the moment even more sentimental for her. Nikki even mentions that she is cooking something special and she doesn't want to cry.
Nikki went on to share that her brother was exceptionally studious and that their father had invested all his savings into his education as he wanted to be an engineer. She recalled how her brother was aware of her financial struggles and the fact that she didn’t receive pocket money. Despite having money himself, he made it a point to eat only Vada Pav, a gesture that deeply touched her heart.
Nikki added, "Usko pata tha ke mere paas paise nahi hai, na pocket money na kuch. Toh usne ye start kiya tha ke mere paas paise hain phir bhi main vada pav he khaunga. Kyunki ye phir mangegi nahi, joh main khaunga mehengi cheezein. Usko dekh ke mera bhi phir favourite hogaya vada pav. Toh joh bhi woh karta tha ye dimaag mein rakh ke karta tha ke isko ye privilege nahi di jaati toh main bhi galat faida nahi uthaunga privilege."
(He knew that I didn’t have money—no pocket money, nothing. So, he started this habit of eating only Vada Pav, even though he had money, just so I wouldn’t feel the need to ask or feel left out when he ate something expensive. Watching him, Vada Pav eventually became my favorite too. He never took the advantage of the privilege given to him.)
Farah Khan then turned to Nikki’s father and asked if he was proud of her. Without hesitation, he responded, “She is the pillar of our family,” which deeply moved Nikki, bringing tears to her eyes.
