Celebrity Masterchef judge Farah Khan calls herself a ‘strict mom’; says ‘My kids can’t go wherever they want without me tracking’

Farah Khan, renowned filmmaker and judge on Celebrity MasterChef, embraces a dual role as a strict yet loving mother. She spoke about raising her 17-year-old triplets, revealing that her kids prioritize studies over partying and have never been to a club. Farah also admits to being stricter with her son, ensuring he understands gender sensitivity and respectful behavior.

Farah initially wished for two boys and one girl, but fate had different plans, blessing her with twin daughters. She now feels incredibly lucky, admitting that her daughters have brought immense joy and balance to her life. She said, “Initially I used to pray that I have two boys and one girl. But luckily God didn’t hear me gave me two girls. They are the best.”

Despite being teenagers, Farah’s children remain grounded. She proudly shares that they prefer intimate family dinners over wild parties, never wear makeup, and focus on their academics. She said, “My kids will go to college next year. They are 17. Luckily, my kids are still 17 going on 12. They are not over grown. They are studious. It was their birthday and they wanted to do a family dinner. They didn’t want to go to a club and party. My daughters have never been to a club. They don’t use makeup. They never got their eyebrows done. They are always studying.”

Farah strikes a balance between discipline and fun. While she monitors her kids’ whereabouts and sets firm boundaries, she also ensures open communication through daily gossip sessions. She said, “Every evening we have a gossip session. There I get to know what’s happening in their lives. I am a bit of a strict mom. They just can’t go wherever they want without me tracking. I am strict but also a cool and fun mom.”

Farah admits she is stricter with her son than with her daughters. She takes extra care in educating him about respectful interactions with girls. She stated, “Their upbringing is same. But I think I am stricter with my boy. I have to explain to him more than I have to explain to my girls about how he has to talk to girls, how he cannot say things, how his friends cannot talk about his sisters in a certain way. If they talk about girls, then he cannot be included.”

Farah emphasizes teaching her son about gender sensitivity. She ensures he understands that casual conversations about girls should be respectful and inclusive. She also educates him on how to be a responsible young man, reinforcing values that prepare him to support and uplift women in all aspects of life.
