Bigg Boss 13: A look at Top 7 contestants' journey in the house

Bigg Boss 13 is gearing up for the finale night next week (February 15) and now we have our Top 7 contenders left in the house. This season saw 20 new faces in the house apart from BB11 fame Vikas Gupta’s proxy stay for a brief period. With a week and half left, let’s take a look at our Top 7 contestants’ journey so far.

Initially, Sidharth had earned the title of angry man in the house. He had been a part of numerous fights and arguments during his initial stay in the house. He was down with typhoid and came back with a new zeal. He calmed down and also showed his entertaining and prankster side. Audience loved to see his flirty moments with Devoleena, sensuous dance moment with Rashami, nok-jhok with Shehnaz and also ‘main akela hi kaafi hu and khush hu’ side. From being selected as a captain after a unanimous vote to winning the elite club membership, Sidharth has shown his many shades and what he is capable of.

The Punjab ki Katrina aka Shehnaz became nation’s entertainer soon after stepping on the Bigg Boss 13 stage. Her uncontrollable bouts of laughter to mimicry skills, Shehnaz had a smooth sail in the house. But audience got to see her emotional side after Paras was out of the house for his thumb surgery and later Sidharth was away with typhoid. Shehnaz was seen roaming in Paras’ night suits. Shehnaz had expressed her liking for Paras but soon her focus shifted to Sidharth. And since then #SidNaz started to trend. While initially it came across as cute, Shehnaz’ friendship turned into an obsession and Salman too, scolded her for her behaviour. Time and again she made it clear that she can’t do (read: live) without Sidharth and now her only job in the house is to gain his attention by hook or by crook.

The model was called the poster boy in the house. His going to sleep shirtless act caught a lot of attention initially of all the female contestants. Asim’s rapport with Sidharth Shukla was liked by all and these too were known for their bro-ship. But their bond saw a downhill and their fights started doing the talks. Asim’s tall claims of Sidharth leaving his team to him declaring ‘I am famous’, the model became a laughing stock for many in the house. But, Asim was the first member of the elite club and enjoyed quite a few facilities. He fell head over heels in love with wild card contestant Himanshi Khurana. And then his love story came under the scanner. Asim’s journey might have been a topsy turvy one, but BB viewers see him as one of the top contenders this season.

The Dil Se Dil Tak actress’ journey so far has been quite an eventful one. She initially showed a lot of spark but felt low after good friend Devoleena left the house. Rashami’s energy was back when beau Arhaan Khan made an entry. But that love story too, went downhill after Salman Khan exposed him on national television. Rashami has often been accused of being confused, playing with no motive and can’t survive without any support. Housemates have often brought up that Rashami needs a support to play in the house, but that has not deterred her spirits. Apart from making a comeback after being evicted, Rashami is known for her 'chai-fight' with Sidharth.

Krushna Abhishek’s sister Arti Singh was initially called Sidharth Shukla’s shadow and that she was playing his game. Arti also had a panic attack when she didn’t get Sidharth’s support during a task. But she came out strong and made everyone clear that she is playing independently. However, it came to everyone’s notice that Arti raises an issue only when she sees that she will be seen. Arti never cared about what other housemates think or talk about her and has continued to stay in the house showing a fierce attitude when required. People have liked her equation with Sidharth and many have also tried to bring them together #SidArti (including her own sister-in-law Kashmera Shah). But Arti has maintained her stance saying that their temperaments don’t match.

Aabra Ka Dabra Paras Chhabra – is the first thing that pops in your mind, when you take his name. The reality TV show star entered the house with ‘sanskaari playboy’ image and his only focus was to win all the ladies’ heart. But his heart stuck with Mahira Sharma and his life came under the scanner. From being accused of cheating on his girlfriend Akanksha Puri out the house to using Mahira Sharma for his game, Paras has seen it all. His friendship/romance with Mahira has been tested and now towards the end it is to be seen if it lasts. In the recent times, his bond with Mahira has seen certain cracks. Paras was the one to win ticket to finale leg task in the first month of the stay. But then, the entire game took a different turn.

Mahira Sharma has become synonymous with the word ‘masla’. She is widely known as the ‘masla’ girl now. Mahira’s only focus and friend in the house has been Paras Chhabra. Apart from that, she was largely discussed about her ‘lips’ and also received many taunts. She fought it all and shut everyone who tried to body shame her. She also tried to put up a brave front everytime housemates told her that she would not have survived weeks in the house without Paras’ help. This is the only statement Mahira has been fighting since Day 1. And it will be interesting to see if she makes it to the finale.
