Bhide’s daughter replaced

It’s rare to see the cast of a show get along well with one another and the bond that the characters of Neela Telefilms’ Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah share is one such example.
Producer Asit Modi treats his unit as extended family, and the biggest proof is the fact that none of the actors have been replaced in the past four years, ever since the show has been on air.But when it boils down to somebody’s future and growth, the producer is quite understanding. Case in point – child actor Jheel Mehta, who has been playing Bhide’s daughter.
“Jheel needed time to prepare for her Class X exams. Her parents were also keen on her taking a break. I immediately agreed. Since her character is important and we cannot do without her for a year, we have brought in Nidhi Bhanushali as her replacement. I felt really sad, but then this is about a child’s future. We respect her parents’ wishes,” comments Modi.
And as soon as Nidhi joined, she had loads of fun because August is the month of festivals and Gokuldham Society in the show has celebrated all of them with abundant flair and pomp.
