Anupamaa’s Sagar Parekh credits the show for helping him explore his emotions; says, ‘I started paying more attention’
Sagar Parekh, who won many hearts with his time on TV show Anupamaa, recently opened up about his personal and professional life. In an interview with News18, he shared that Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa was a turning point in his life and how Anupamaa helped him explore his emotions.
“I think the biggest turning point, if I look back, for me, was shows like Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa, Anupamaa and my recent show Jagriti, which did extremely well. That show really took me out of my comfort zone. It made me realise there’s a side of me I hadn’t explored before,” he said.
Talking about TV show Anupamaa, he said, “It gave me the space to explore emotions properly. I started paying more attention to how I perform, not just what I perform. That show made people notice that I can do more as an actor. I feel like I’m open to everything now. Any form of art is welcome. I want to take up roles that challenge me.”
