Ankita Lokhande opens up about battling depression after break-up with Sushant Singh Rajput, receiving online abuse and being trolled for having no work

Pavitra Rishta fame Ankita Lokhande got on to Instagram Live to interact with her fans on Monday (March 1). The actress' session was specially for those abusing and trolling her online. She mentioned about her break-up with Sushant, talked about dealing with depression and how dancing videos make her happy. She left her fans with a message of positivity as well.

On feeling low

Ankita started by telling her fans how she has been feeling low for the past two days. She said, "Usually, I am very positive. I don't like to take things seriously. But from the past two days, I was feeling low. Today, I decided I don't want to feel the same. There was no reason for me to feel low. I changed my thought process. I just wanted to look good and fresh today." (Photo: Instagram)

On receiving abusive comments on her dance videos

Ankita shared that everyone has a way to motivate themselves and she finds joy in dancing. But the actress has been receiving backlash for it from her followers. She said, "I put reels and dance videos to motivate myself but I get really bad and ugly comments on it. I feel if you have so much problem with me, then you should not follow me. If there are people or things that trouble you, you shouldn't follow them. I do the same but I don't get abusive when I go to their accounts. I don't follow those who I don't like. It's very important to see how we can save our energy. For me, I like making dance videos. But people are abusing me of late. People get downright abusive which is really hurtful. It doesn't affect me but my parents who don't belong to the industry. They are sensitive and it is difficult for them to digest that people are abusing. (Photo: Instagram)

On her break-up with Sushant Singh Rajput

She requested people not to judge anything they don't know about and also mentioned her break-up in passing. She said, "I just want to say that you can't judge someone's relationship. And no one has the right to point fingers at others as these people don't know the relationship I shared (hinting at Sushant Singh Rajput). If you all were so concerned, then where were you when things ended between the two of us?"

5/7

On people blaming her

Ankita clarified she knows her side of the story and people should refrain from judging her. She said, "Today, people are blaming me but I have never been wrong. And I don't want to prove anyone wrong either. Everyone has their own motive. Sushant always wanted to grow and woh chala gaya apne raaste (he went his way). But why am I abused for it? How does it make me wrong? You don't know my story and neither do I want to say anything about Sushant. Stop blaming me. It is really hurtful."

6/7

On suffering from depression

She said, "I have been through depression myself. Mein bhi bahot buri haalat mein thi, mujhe bhi takleef hui thi, mujhe bhi bahot rona aaya tha ( I was in a bad shape, I was in a lot of pain and used to cry a lot). But I had only my family, friends and a few fans who have been with me right from the start. I really respect that. But jinhe mein pasand nahi hun, I am very frankly telling you to unfollow me but stop blaming me for everything. I was never in the scene. I wasn't in his life for many years. I had a responsibility towards him which I have fulfilled. I want you to understand it. To abuse someone is wrong." (Photo: Instagram)

On being trolled for having no work

In the end, she said, "I can only request you to stop abusing. I come from a middle-class family and we haven't seen this at all. Please don't watch me. I am a dancer and an actor and I like it. People who feel entertained and motivated by me, I am more than happy. When I make reels, I genuinely feel happy. People say I don't have work, but this is only my work." (Photo: Instagram)
