Anil Kapoor recreates Jeena Nahi with Shreya Ghoshal on Indian Idol’s Holi special

This week, the stage of Indian Idol is set to turn vibrant with colour and nostalgia as the show airs a special Holi-themed episode featuring celebrity guests Anil Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Radhikka Madan. Staying true to the season’s theme, Yaadon Ki Playlist, the contestants revisit iconic songs from Hindi cinema, blending celebration with memories that span decades of film music.

The festivities begin on a lively note as contestants welcome Saurabh Shukla with a spirited performance of Kallu Mama from Satya. The upbeat number sets a celebratory rhythm for the evening, with the judges and guests visibly enjoying the energy on stage.





The mood then shifts to nostalgia when contestant Abhishek performs Jeena Nahi from Tezaab, a song closely associated with Anil Kapoor’s early career. The performance prompts the actor to reflect on his connection with the track. “Abhi bhi jab bhi main is gaane ko dekhta hoon, mujhe lagta hain agar mauka mile toh main ise dobara karna chahunga,” he says, recalling the lasting impact of the song.

The moment gathers further momentum when Anil Kapoor joins judge Shreya Ghoshal on stage to recreate Jeena Nahi. Their impromptu rendition draws applause from the audience, turning the segment into one of the highlights of the episode.
