Anandibaa Aur Emily actress Kanchan Gupta is celebrating her birthday today (August 21). The talented actress, who has played a variety of roles over the years, says that she has never celebrated her birthday in another country and wishes to go to Dubai or France one day and ring in her birthday. “No, I have never been to another country but wish that I could go to Dubai, France on my birthday and enjoy it,” she says.
She also wants more peace of mind before her next birthday comes around. “I want to achieve peace till my next birthday. Peace of mind is one thing which I would like to have till my next birthday,” she shares.
All she wants on her special day is the good company of her friends. “Food is not so important that what should be eaten on that day matters. What matters is my company, and my friends who are with me. However, the food is okay, but my company matters a lot to me,” she adds.
Ask her if she has ever had a surprise birthday party, and she says, “Yes, my daughter had planned a surprise birthday in 2017. I was insisting on going to my home in Chandigarh and going to bed and sleeping, but my daughter had done a lot of planning. When I was going to Chandigarh via Delhi, she told all my Delhi to Chandigarh friends. In between, everyone was meeting and wishing me one by one, and when I reached home, a friend of mine had come from Dubai, which I was very much surprised to see. I was happy and had lunch with my female friends. I had a surprise dinner party, which I had no idea about, and that was my uncle's surprise birthday.”
Someone has rightly said that no matter what we should always keep the child within us alive. When asked what childish things she still does as an adult, Kanchan Gupta says, “I am still a child, but there is nothing childish about me. I just live life and try to be happy while avoiding stress.”
