Amidst speculations of her return, Disha Vakani shares post with Neha Mehta of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Disha Vakani aka Dayaben's return to Taarak might be uncertain, but the actress seems quite upbeat about her show otherwise. She recently posted an old picture with Neha Mehta, who plays Anjali in Taarak.

The actress wrote alongside, "Daya with Anjali." This prompted fans, yet again, to ask her if she was returning to the sitcom. Take a look:



Disha has been missing from the small screen since 2017. The actress went on a maternity break, and hasn't returned to the show yet, forcing the makers to look for a replacement.

Recently it was reported that Ami Trivedi of Papad Pol has been approached to play Daya. However, the actress denied any truth to the speculation.

She told TimesOfIndia.com, "No, I have not been approached, but my friends have been telling me that I should take up the role and would suit the character. I have not been offered the role, nor have the makers tried to reach me out."

Meanwhile the producer of the show, Asit Kumar Modi, told a news channel that he is open to Disha's return on Taarak, though they are in talks with a lot of other popular artists as well.
