Aditya Narayan reveals his daughter's name; reasons 'payment issues' behind his decision to quit hosting post Indian Idol 2022

Aditya Narayan and wife Shweta Agarwal have embraced parenthood with the birth of their baby girl on February 24 this year. The elated couple broke the news to fans and media a few days back in an exclusive conversation with TOI. Recently, Aditya started an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram and answered a few interesting questions about becoming a father, his hosting stints on TV, why is he quitting as an anchor and more. A fan asked Aditya Narayan what has the Narayan family named the newborn. Answering this, he revealed the name of his baby girl. The fan asked, “Name of your daughter yet?” and Aditya wrote, ‘Tvisha Narayan Jha’. He also revealed that before his daughter’s birth, the whole family was busy finding boy names, but he was the only one to search for a girl’s name. In a small note attached, Aditya said, “P.S. I was the only one researching baby girls' names while everyone was busy looking for boy names.” Earlier in his first interview with BT, post becoming a father, Aditya shared, “Everyone kept telling me that it would be a baby boy. But I secretly hoped that we would have a baby girl. I believe fathers are closest to their daughters, and I am happy that my little girl has arrived. Shweta and I feel extremely blessed that we are parents now.”

_{As Aditya revealed his daughter’s name to the world through this AMA session, another fan asked him about the meaning of the unique name he chose for her. Enlightening everyone about it, Aditya wrote, “Spendour, Lustre, Light, Sun-Rays. It’s quite cool because my fathers name means ‘Risen Sun’ mine means ‘Sun’ and hers means rays of the sun :). Also, it almost has Shweta’s entire name in it as well as the god she worships, Shiva.”}

Aditya was asked when he would be sharing pictures of his daughter and reveal her face to fans, who are waiting eagerly to get a glimpse of his baby girl. As the fan asked, “When are you going to share her pic?”, Aditya said that he would need wife Shweta’s permission to do the same. Aditya wrote, “Need her mommy’s permission! The elders say it should be after 40 days post birth.”

Amidst the row of questions, Aditya was also asked about his feelings on becoming a father, having a baby girl and more. Answering how happy he was to become a father, the singer said, “Ecstatic! More so because we have a daughter.” Another fan asked Aditya how he felt when the doctor told him that it’s a baby girl. Responding to this, he said, “Couldn’t believe it! Was in the OT during the entire procedure.” Aditya shared about being in the OT with Shweta during delivery in his interview with BT, previously. Talking about it, he said, “I was with Shweta when she delivered, and I seriously feel that only a woman can show the kind of strength and perseverance to go through this and bring a child into this world. My love and respect for Shweta has doubled now. A woman goes through many things when she delivers a child and even during the pregnancy phase.”

Aditya got caught in another interesting question during the AMA session, when a fan asked when would he be giving another ‘good news’ to fans. Aditya’s answer only reveals how taken aback he was with this question. He chose to reply to this in Hindi and wrote, “Lagta hai 130 crore log kam padd gaye aapke liye Hindustan mein (Seems like the 130 crore population of India isn’t enough for you)”.

Aditya also got candid about quitting as a TV host, when questioned by fans about it. First, he was asked why he is leaving ‘SA RE GA MA PA’. So Aditya shared, “I am letting go of hosting shows, period. I have other dreams & aspirations. Can’t explain over 30 years of my life in one insta story.

During the AMA, Aditya was also asked about his multiple returns as a host despite saying that he is quitting. A fan questioned, “Aap pahle bhi do baar bol chuke hain ye mera last hosting season hai So… is baar phir wapas aa jayega.” In reponse to this Aditya wrote, “Journalists sensational headline ko facts se zyada ahmiyat dete hain. I have very clearly mentioned in my interview last year that 2022 will be my final year as a host. I have just wrapped up my final season of SaReGaMaPa and am hosting superstar singer next. Indian Idol 2022 will be my final season as a host on television.”

When he was asked why he would not host shows after 2022, Aditya opened his heart and listed down his reasons. He wrote, “I want to make more time for Tvisha, Shwet & family. Hosting doesn’t excite me/challenge me the way it used to. I want to upgrade my singing/dancing/fitness skills. My fitness took a major hit after testing positive twice for covid and continuing a shoot/train/do concerts after minimal rest. I’m at the top of my game. Have hosted every music reality show across all channels in the past 4 years. It’s best to leave when you’re at the top.” He also added, “Channels won’t pay me anymore than what they’re paying me right now, Only A+ league actors or producers make more money.”

“As a star kid you did not have any difficulties in life right??” asked a fan. Coming with a rightly framed reply to this, Aditya said, “No one can escape difficulties! Poverty is a major global issue. But it’s not the only adversity that a person goes through. That being said, I am forever grateful to have always had a roof over my head and food on the table thanks to my parents, but i did not grow up rich like people assume.”
