It often happens in life that you wish for something, but life hands you something much better instead. Actor

Aarya Dharmchand

also experienced one such happy coincidence. When he got the first chance to audition for his current show 'Yeshu', he had gone to audition for the

role

of Shaitan (

Devil

), but ended up becoming the good-hearted and benevolent

Joseph

instead.

Talking about the same, he shares, "Considering the beard I had been growing and grooming, I went in to audition for the role of devil. Perhaps, I was in a devilish mood (laughs). In my head, I felt that role suited me better. However, after 2 months, I got a call again to audition for the

character

Joseph. After much thought, I went for it and got the role. When the shoot began, and I got a better understanding of the character, I realised that Joseph was this kind-hearted, benevolent and overall really good person. Then, I thought this could be a good opportunity to play such a memorable character on-screen."

He also finds that there is little to no hassle to get ready for the show. "It doesn't take much time for my make-up, because the show demands minimal make-up. Even my clothes are very easy going and non-glamourous. But it is apt for the period we are showing," says Aarya. He further adds, "All I really need, is a comb - to keep my beard in check.
'Yeshu' is all about the no make-up look for all of us. The best part is, we get ready in a jiffy, and all by ourselves."
