Himansh Kohli might follow a strict diet plan in Mumbai, but the moment he lands in Delhi, he can't resist from gorging on Delhi’s food. "I am a foodie, my cheat days start the day I land in Delhi," he says as he tries a fire paan in Connaught Place. The Delhi actor, whose family lives in Lajpat Nagar, says, "I had tried this paan when I was in college. I was apprehensive at that time that it might burn my mouth but since it seemed interesting, I didn’t hesitate to try it."
He adds, "Whenever I come back to Delhi, I never miss the chance to eat my favourite dishes.
I think Delhi has got the best food. I love paapri chaat, chole bhature from Chandni Chowk. People in Mumbai always say that their food is the best but since I have tried food of both the cities, I can say that Delhi's food is incomparable."

'I attended workshops at NSD so that I can talk to big actors directly'Himansh, who made his Bollywood debut with Yaariyan, says that he was never a padhaku student and was interested in acting since the beginning. "I remember, when I was in school, I used to attend summer workshops at NSD. I used to go there because that was the only time I would get a chance to talk to the actors directly. I have attended workshops by
Satish Kaushik and
Naseeruddin Shah at NSD. While I was shooting for my next film with Satish sir, I told him that I had attended his workshop at NSD. But unfortunately, he doesn’t remember it," he says.
'I knew that I was not going to get through Delhi University'Getting into DU is not a cakewalk and Himansh knew that he won't be able to get admission in the university, thanks to the high cut-offs. "I was never a padhaku student so I knew from the beginning that I wouldn't be able to get admission in DU. I scored 76% in my XII . I choose Amity after school as I wanted to pursue mass communication and also because I knew that it was almost impossible to get a good college in DU," he says.
'Youngsters should focus on cleaning the environment'Himansh also likes to indulge in causes for the benefit of the society. For instance, while promoting for his last movie, 'Sweetiee Weds NRI', he was invited by Bharat Dangar, Vadodara's mayor, to attend a Swachh Bharat drive which was also aimed at breaking a Guinness World Record. "In May, 5,058 people came together to sweep a bridge in Vadodara that connects Akota with Dandia bazaar and create a Guinness World Record for most people sweeping a single place. I like my surroundings to be clean and that is why I agreed to take part in the drive. As youngsters of this country, we should make sure that we keep our environment clean. It pains me to see that whenever we are travelling abroad, we make sure that we do not throw anything on the road, but we cannot follow the same in our own country. We can thinking of achieving Swachh Bharat only if we all work towards cleaning our environment," he says.
