Matthew Perry’s demise has still been on the audience’s minds. While many are recalling his fun personality, others are re-watching the TV show Friends and are missing Matthew more than ever.
An old interview of the actor is resurfacing on the internet where he can be seen talking about his most favourite episode from the TV show Friends. However, what has shocked many is that his most favourite was the one where his dialogue was the least.
Friends aired 236 episodes during its 10-season run, and the one Matthew Perry said he enjoyed most was, ironically, an episode when his signature verbal dialogue was the least.
During the season 1 episode “The One with the Blackout,” Perry’s character Chandler Bing was seen getting stuck in an ATM vestibule with Victoria’s Secret model Jill.
Matthew said, “The one thing that fans found the most interesting was I didn’t speak much; it was mostly in voiceover,” Perry had told Entertainment Weekly in 2004 as the TV show was nearing its finale. “We prerecorded what I said, and I had to react,” he added.
The actor had then said, “Let’s face it: Jill Goodacre is hot, so it wasn’t that difficult. I [remember] spitting my gum out, and it stuck to the wall. It was my choice to just stay frozen in fear and embarrassment. … What was great about that night was that I was also able to watch the other three quarters of the show, which was these five great actors doing ensemble work that was amazing. This was the first time I realized, ‘Gee, this is really clicking.’”
The actor also earned Emmy in 2002 for his role in TV show Friends. The actor was found dead at his Los Angeles-area apartment on Oct. 28 at the age of 54. He was laid to rest on Nov. 3 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
