In the Oct. 28 episode of their podcast Girls Next Level, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt reminisced about meeting Pamela Anderson back in the days when they were Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends and filming The Girls Next Door. As they discussed the season 3 episode “My Bare Lady,” Madison, 44, admitted she felt nervous talking about Anderson’s appearance, mentioning her “fear of people’s opinions.”

She clarified that her comments weren’t meant to stir up any “beef” but to reflect on the behavior she sees “differently” now compared to then. Madison explained that in her 20s, she often took it personally if someone was rude or standoffish, but with time and her own autism diagnosis, she now views interactions from a different perspective.

In the episode, Hefner and his three girlfriends — Madison, Marquardt, and Kendra Wilkinson — attend the Playboy Legacy Collection event celebrating the magazine’s iconic photos. Anderson, who was a frequent Playboy cover star, made a surprise appearance. While Hefner was thrilled, Madison and the other girls felt less enthusiastic.

“When I talk about my past in the Playboy mansion, people always ask which celebrities were nice or not,” Madison explained, revealing that Anderson often fell into the latter category. Madison remembered Anderson “fawning all over” Hefner whenever they crossed paths but claimed that Anderson would ignore Hefner’s girlfriends entirely.

“It was so strange to me that she would act like we didn’t exist in any way,” Madison said, noting how baffling it felt. However, Madison added that Anderson’s behavior softened over time, and toward the end, Anderson did begin to acknowledge her a bit more.
