Who is Jag Bains?

25-year-old Jag Bains is a truck company owner. He is from Omak city in north-central Washington, United States. The show premiered on August 2 and participating in Bigg Boss has been Jag’s much-awaited dream.

His education

Jag attended University of Washington. His post on social media reads, “He was a direct admit to the Foster School of Business. He got a Bachelor of Business Administration with focuses in Marketing Analytics and Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative History of Ideas.”

Jag’s excitement to participate in Big Brother 25

Making an official moment on social media, Jag wrote, “IT'S OFFICIAL!!! I am beyond thrilled that I will be stepping into the world of Big Brother 25 as a houseguest! Words cannot express the level of excitement I am feeling as I embark on this incredible journey in the Big Brother house this summer! From watching the show as a wide-eyed kid to now becoming a part of it, it feels like an absolute dream come true!”

The first Sikh contestant in Big Brother

On being the first Sikh contestant in Big Brother 25, he wrote, “As the first-ever Sikh on the show, I feel truly honored, humbled, and blessed. I'm deeply grateful for this opportunity to represent my community and share my story with the world.”

6/8

Chasing his dreams

Writing further about his participation, Jag wrote, “I couldn't have reached this milestone without the unwavering support of my incredible family and friends. You've always believed in me, pushed me to chase my dreams, and shown me nothing but love. It wouldn’t feel right to start this journey without giving you all a massive shoutout first! So… mark your calendars and get ready to join me as I navigate alliances, competitions, and cold showers in the Big Brother house!”

7/8

When Jag would binge watch Big Brother in high school

One of Jag’s friends William Suastegui, took to social media to share his happiness over his participation. He wrote about Jag, “We used to binge-watch Big Brother back in high school, and I still remember how Jag and Jasmair would call out the lack of a Sikh player on the show. We'd joke about them being the first ones to represent, but now, it's actually happening! Fast forward a few years, and Jag is about to create Big Brother history as the very first Sikh player in 25 seasons! I can't even express how proud and grateful I am to have him as my best friend. It's incredible to see him get the chance to showcase his true self and represent his community in front of millions!”

Jag Bains’ family stand against contestant Jared Fields

One of the contestants Jared Fields, an exterminator, made a racist slur against fellow contestant and a medical receptionist America Lopez. Jag Bains’ family posted on Jag’s social media page, “Jag is a huge advocate and ally for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). He has dedicated nearly 13 years with Special Olympics and has been actively supporting the Spread the Word to End the Word campaigns for just as long. This cause is near and dear to our hearts. Jag’s family, friends, and community are compelled to address an incident that occurred on season 25 of Big Brother. We wanted to address this issue and spread awareness. Using the R-word diminishes the dignity and humanity of individuals with I/DD and perpetuates harmful stereotypes.”
