TV show Jagaddhatri completes 200 episodes

Cast and crew of TV show ‘Jagaddhatri’ are in a celebratory mood. The team is celebrating the success of their show crossing a new milestone. Launched in August last year, ‘Jagaddhatri’ has successfully completed 200 episodes and it certainly calls for a celebration. Keeping that in mind, the team did enjoy a party mood.
Jagaddhatri, featuring ‘Tin Shaktir Aadhar- Trishul’ fame Soumyadeep Mukherjee and newbie Ankita Mallick, turns out to be one of the current favourites of Bengali audiences.It’s a family drama which also has occasional action sequences and a flavour of detective stories. After footballer, gymnast, cricketer, auto driver bahu, ‘Jagaddhatri’ introduced a female protagonist who works as a special crime branch officer. Protagonist Jagaddhatri aka Jass can handle crooked criminals, solve tough cases like a pro and take care of her household as an adarsh bahu too. This is Ankita’s very first television project and it made her a household name within no time.
Protagonist Jagaddhatri and her hubby Swayambhu, who also works as a special crime branch officer, share a crackling chemistry and the jodi has managed to woo the audience. No wonder, Jagaddhatri‘ scores pretty well in terms of TRP and is mostly seen in the top two spots. Kanchana Moitra , Biplab Banerjee, Soma Dey, Shobhana Bhunia, Rupsa Chakraborty and other artists play supporting roles in the show.
