. One of the sources from the production unit informed that

Payel

was chosen for the role as Ankita got busy with her other projects.

Payel was supposed to shoot for ‘Saat Bhai Champa’ on Friday.

Her father Prabeer Guha informed the media that Payel was suffering from depression.

The actress got married in 2006 and her marital life wasn’t blissful. Her 9-year old son was living with her estranged husband. According to Prabeer, Payel was depressed for not having her son around.

The Siliguri police are investigating into the case. According to the police sources, Payel’s mobile phone was missing from her hotel room.
