Supernatural drama ‘Qayamat Ki Raat’ gets dubbed into Bengali

After ‘Mahakali’ and ‘Naagin’, another Hindi television serial is all set to entertain the Bengali TV viewers. A leading Bengali television channel has decided to air the dubbed version of ‘Qayamat Ki Raat’ under the title ‘Nishi Raater Haatchani’. The original show features Vivek Dahiya, Karishma Tanna and Saurish Singh Athwal.
The original show is quite popular among the viewers for its compelling narrative and suspense elements.Given the success of the show, the channel has decided to air the dubbed version, according to sources.
Previously, another General Entertainment Channel started airing the dubbed version of ‘Mahakali’ and ‘Naagin’. None of the shows could garner impressive TRPs though, as per reports. Many Bengali television actors and directors had already expressed their dissatisfaction over advent of the dubbed serials. However, the channel was firm in its decision.
A close industry source said, “The Bengali entertainment industry is quite enriched. It has produced a number of shows which have great content. Moreover, Bengali literature is so precious. Still, we have to air a dubbed Hindi serial! I really don’t see any logic. But it would certainly affect our industry if the trend lasts.”
Given the scenario, it remains to be seen how Nishi Raater Haatchani manages to break the mold and entertain the audience.
