Sangeet er Mahajuddho gears up for its grand launch; here are some BTS pics

Bengali television will soon have a brand new singing reality show. Right from its host, judges to the captain of the ship- 'Sangeet er Mahajuddho' will have a number of surprise elements. Raj Chakraborty is directing a non-fiction show after more than a decade. He teamed up with Mir Afsar Ali yet again after ‘Mirakkel’. The panel of judges will have Ustad Rashid Khan, singers Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Lopamudra Mitra and music director Jeet Gannguly. Rekindling the love-affair between Bengali audience and music reality shows alive, ‘Sangeet Er Mahajuddho’ will start its journey from this weekend. The curtain-raiser episode has many surprises in store for the audience. Special performances by the judges, guests and not to forget the contestants, will make the evening memorable.

The opening episode will have Bikram Ghosh playing with 10 dhakis. The two-hour-long episode will start with Bikram's rhythmic soundscape.

Maestro and exponent of Classical music Ustad Rashid Khan will take the audience on a melodious journey. He will perform the song, ‘Aaoge Jab Tum O Saajna’, from Bollywood movie ‘Jab We Met’ in the premiere.

Abhijeet, who has given back-to-back hit songs to Indian audiences, will perform some of his evergreen songs in the premiering episodes. The noted singer changed the environment of the shooting floor with his soulful rendition. After ‘Super Singer’, Abhijeet will be seen judging a music reality show once again. Well, having witty host Mir around, Bengali audience might witness an unknown side of the singer as well.

Jeet Gannguly will grace the upcoming reality show as a judge. He has given several hit songs in Bengali movies. On the premiere episode of Sangeet Er Mahajuddho, he will sing his song ‘Mon Majhi Re’, which is again a smash hit. Jeet, who has scored music for Hindi movies as well, will take the audience on a soulful musical journey with his beautiful rendition. He will be seen sharing his experience and musical expertise with the contestants as well in the upcoming episodes. Jeet was last seen in 'Super Singer'.

Known for her unique voice and powerful performance, Lopamudra will also be a part of the show. The premiering episode will feature her performance as well. She is having a good time during the shoot. Right from musical adda to candid moments on the floor, Lopamudra is enjoying her new journey.

‘Sangeet et Mahajuddho’, hosted by none other than actor-RJ Mir, will be high on entertainment. Right from his witty comments, fun-interaction with the constants, Mir will be caught in his most entertaining avatar.
