Please keep practising and don’t get carried away by success: Super Singer 3’s special guest Anu Malik’s advice to aspiring talents

Super Singer Season 3 hosted by Jisshu U Sengupta, is set to welcome 2022 in the most melodious way. The show will welcome singer-composer Anu Malik in this weekend’s episode. Judges Kumar Sanu, Sonu Nigam, and Koushiki Chakraborty had a good time with the guest during the shoot. Anu, on the other hand, equally cherished the experience he had during the shoot. From talented participants to the new blood, recent trends in music to love for Bengal, the talented singer and composer poured his heart out.

Anu heaped praises on the contestants. “Super Singer Season 3 is a great platform and has very talented singers. I am amazed by the performance of these talented contestants. Each of them has a unique voice. I was listening to them. It is really good to see how these talented singers can come and face the judges who are big celebrities,” he says.

"Everything changes with time. We didn’t have such platforms. Uss zamane mein aisa platform nahi tha. If I speak about me, as a composer, I was struggling. There were other composers too. It was good in a way I think. Time has changed, today, there are many platforms for the youngsters. My show Indian Idol gave many talented singers. In our country, be it Bengal, UP, MP, Maharashtra, Gujrat, North East, every state has tremendous talents you must have noticed. These TV shows provide them a platform," says the popular singer-composer who has given many hit songs.

"I was listening to these participants in the show and they are beautifully singing Hindi songs. Bengal always has nurtured talented singers. So much talent has come from Bengal to the film industry, which is really good," he says. (Photo: Facebook)

When asked whether he would like to judge a Bengali show, he says, “I love Bengal. I love the culture.. I love the music and people. I love the talent. If they call me, I will be always there.”

“Today’s kids are very talented. They are hardworking. They always try to retain what the culture has offered to them. Technology has touched the roof and I believe, you should always move ahead with time. At our time, we used to perform with LIVE orchestra. But now, things are different,” he says. When asked whether he has any suggestions for the new blood, Anu said, “They are very talented and I love their creation. I have no other suggestion to them other than keep practicing. Super Singer’s very first episode in 2020 will take the audience on a soulful musical journey. There will be some melodious performances by the contestants who will sing some of the smash hits scored by Anu Malik. The special guest also performed some of his hit songs. Judges Kaushiki, Sonu and Kumar Sanu also joined him on the stage.

Having some of the most talented music personalities on the sets, the show will certainly offer some rare moments filled with music. During the shoot, judges Sonu, Kumar Sanu had a good time with Anu. Koushiki also joined their fun-filled adda. They were caught having a candid moment. Take a look...
