Small screen is no longer a horizon that’s considered as a ‘taboo’ for those celebs who mostly work in films. In fact, because of the vast popularity and the reach, small screen enjoys, more and more celebs are concentrating on television. And this holds true for every entertainment industry, be it Bollywood or Tollywood. A number of Bollywood biggies are working in television projects these days, compared to movies or OTT. And Tollywood isn’t an exception. While many movie celebs maintained a balance with their movie commitments and TV shows, many are concentrating solely on television. Raj Chakraborty: Director-producer Raj is concentrating on small screen these days again. He has been busy with his movie projects as well as political commitments for a long time and was away from the small screen industry. In 2018, Adrit made his debut in Raj Chakraborty-produced movie ‘Noor Jahan’, directed by Abhimanyu Mukherjee. Later, he did a number of movies including ‘Prem Amar 2’, ‘Password’, ‘Pareenita’. In 2021, Adrit said yes to Bengali daily soap ‘Mithai’. The show starring Soumitrisha Kundoo turns out to be a major hit and made him more popular among the audience.
