‘Mon Dite Chai’ wraps up after a run for one-and-a-half years; Cast shares nostalgic photos



​Yet another serial on Bengali television bites the dust. ‘Mon Dite Chai’, one of the dailies on a popular Bengali TV channel has arrived at its end. The daily soap recently drew the curtain. ‘Mon Dite Chai’ wrapped up its journey of one-and-a-half years and the cast of the show got together to cherish their memories.

The beginning



​‘Mon Dite Chai’ started its journey in January, 2023. The show initially started by telling the story of a middle-class girl Titir, who earned her livelihood by selling fritters. Titir ended up cancelling a huge order from a big businessman, Somraj, the male protagonist of the show. As Titir and Somraj crossed each other’s paths, ‘Mon Dite Chai’ essayed their journey together.

The lead pair



​‘Mon Dite Chai’ starred Arunima Halder and Writwik Mukherjee as the protagonists Titir and Somraj. Writwik, has previously worked in a popular Bengali daily named ‘Ei Poth Jodi Na Shesh Hoy’ with Anwesha Hazra as a female lead. His on-screen chemistry with Arunima on ‘Mon Dite Chai’ won the hearts of the audience.

​‘Mon Dite Chai’ has been one of the most happening sets in the Bengali TV industry. From celebrating festivals together to shooting wedding scenes with the entire cast and crew – it’s been a joyride.

​‘Mon Dite Chai’ touched the milestone of completing 300 episodes recently. The whole team of the show came together and celebrated by cutting cake on the set. The cast and crew had fun together and the photos are proof.

The brewing romance



​‘Mon Dite Chai’ has witnessed love-stories brewing on its set. On one hand, Titir and Somraj have been a fan-favourite couple for their sweet chemistry on screen. On the other hand, Arunima reportedly has found love in her co-star Rob Dey, who also has worked in ‘Mon Dite Chai’. However, they are yet to confirm their romance.

The wrap



​‘Mon Dite Chai’ has been struggling with TRP ratings for a while. The show was not being able to pull in the expected ratings in the last few months. After a journey of over a year, the show wrapped up in May.
