Jorabari celebrates Rabindra Jayanti; See inside photos of the fun and banter

​Rabindra Jayanti is indeed a special occasion for the Bengalis. On this day, all come together to celebrate the Nobel Laureate and globally acclaimed poet, writer, painter, lyricist, and scholar Rabindranath Tagore and his work. The birth anniversary of Robi Thakur is considered to be an auspicious day in Bengal and Bengalis mark the occasion with poetry reading, recitation, singing and dance performances. Along with the cultural concoction, there is good food too. The Bengali entertainment industry does not shy away from putting their best foot forward for the celebration. This year, the popular Bengali television show ‘Kon Gopone Mon Bhesheche’ took the baton and celebrated Rabindra Jayanti at Jorabari.

​Organizing a special evening to celebrate Rabindra Jayanti calls for finesse and enthusiasm. Shyamoli, the female protagonist of the show, doesn’t lack in any of those areas. Maitreyee, Aniket’s aunt, overviews the arrangements of the function for Rabindra Jayanti, and Shyamoli manages the responsibility gracefully.

​After the meticulous arrangements, it is time for the much-awaited performances. When it comes to grandeur, dance dramas of Tagore are the undisputed winner. Aniket, Shyamoli, Rohini and Priyanjoli take part in performing the dance drama ‘Chitrangada’.

​For Rabindra Jayanti, Shyamoli and Aniket put their differences beside and enjoy the evening with the other members of the family. Aniket even helps Shyamoli with the gajra while she was getting ready. Tagore is well-known as the lovers’ poet. Will this Rabindra Jayanti celebration bring Aniket and Shyamoli closer to each other?
