Crossing the boundaries of Tollywood, a number of Bengali artists have forayed into neighbouring regional entertainment industries. South Indian entertainment industry heavily contributes to Indian cinema by producing several critically acclaimed movies, commercially hit projects, also inspires other telly industries to remake popular daily soaps. Be it television serials or movies, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam- these entertainment industries have always been welcoming towards artists from neighbouring states and Bengali actors aren’t an exception. Jisshu U Sengupta

Bengali TV’s one of the most popular hosts Jisshu, who along with wife Nilanjana. is currently producing daily soap 'Horo Gouri Hotel', made his presence felt in South Indian entertainment industry. After doing Bollywood movies like Shakuntala Devi and Sadak 2, Jisshu has now Telugu projects to his credit. He made his Telugu debut with NTR: Kathanayakudu and went on to do ‘Aswathama’, ‘Bheesma’, ‘Shyam Singha Roy’, Chiranjeevi starrer 'Acharya', 'Maestro' (featuring Nithiin, Tamannaah, Sreemukhi and others) and the recent blockbuster ‘SitaRamam’ as well. Madhumita Sarcar

The actress, who gave several hit TV projects including ‘Kusum Dola’, ‘Care Korina’, has recently shot for a Telugu film that stars Baahubali fame Rakesh Varre. He is also the producer of the Telugu film, which is directed by renowned scriptwriter Sankar. Sita Raman fame Vishal Chandrashekhar scored the music for this film.
