Here’s everything you need to know about Subhashree Ganguly starrer Mahalaya special show

With just a week before this year’s Mahalaya, the Bengali diaspora is already enjoying the festive spirit. Jam-packed markets with enthusiastic buyers and busy moments at Kumortuli and Pandals to finish all the arrangements before Durga Puja; Bengal is already enjoying the festive fever. Meanwhile, all leading channels are ready with their special TV programs on Mahalaya morning. A leading channel has roped in Subhashree Ganguly as Mahishasuramardini for its special TV show ‘Singhabahini Trinayani’. Many other popular artists of Bengali small screen are playing different avatars of the Goddess. Here’s a quick look.

Leading lady of Tollywood, Subhashree Ganguly will play Mahishasuramardini this year as well. Draped in a traditional saree, heavy ornaments, Subhashree looked absolutely stunning during the shoot. She enjoyed every bit of her experience on the shooting floor.

Bengali TV’s one of the most popular actresses, Sweta Bhattacharya, who is set to make her silver screen debut opposite none other than Dev, is playing Debi Parbati. She looked absolutely beautiful in a baby pink attire and traditional ornaments.

Mithai aka Soumitrisha Kundoo will be seen as Debi Joy Durga. The makers beautifully conceptualised her look. From her make-up, to costume; everything has a special touch.

Aratrika Maity from TV show ‘Khelna Bari’ is essaying Debi Mahalokkhi. Draped in a red and white traditional saree and jewellery, Aratrika looked beautiful during the shoot. On the other hand, viewers will see popular actress Annwesha Hazra as Debi Saraswati.

Viewers will see actress Shinjinee Chakraborty playing Debi Kamakhya this year on Mahalaya. The Uma fame actress enjoyed every bit of her experience being on the Mahalaya special show for the first time in her career.

Actress Sharly Modak, who is currently essaying Hansini’s role in ‘Lokkhi Kakima Superstar’, is playing Debi Jagaddhatri. On the other hand, ‘Gouri Elo’ fame Mohana Maiti will surprise the audience yet again in her new avatar. In the Mahalaya special show, she will play Debi Gandheshwari.

Rooqma Ray will play Debi Skondomata’s role in the show. Megha Daw from TV show ‘Pilu’ will play Debi Kusmanda in this special show.

Sohini Banerjee will play Debi Mahakali. The actress is essaying the titular role in TV show ‘Uron Tubri’. Debi Chandika will be played by actress Idhika Paul.
