Kamalkari blouses with handloom saris are not working anymore, but structured blouses with smart cuts and styles are in. Cold-shoulder blouses are also in fashion in many serials. Racer cut blouses with Benarasis, which a heroine wore in Aloy Bhuban Bhora, are in too. Layered and jacket blouses are also in fashion. Linen saris are in and so are shararas with kurtas.

Linen saris with printed blouses topped the television fashion charts this year along with layered kurtas and long dresses. For men, it has been more of an Indo-western look.

, Mayurpankhi, Bhoomikanya, Ranu Pelo Lottery and Phagun Bou and in all these serials, the styling and costumes have been extremely simple. In Nakshi Kantha, where Manali (Manisha Dey) plays a Muslim girl, I made her wear chikankari kurtas with sharara. Maybe the dupattas had a little bit of sequined work, but I used a lot of pastel shades and layering. In Bhoomikanya, Sohini (Sarkar) wore leather pants, jackets and boots before marriage, but after marriage, she's wearing more of linen saris. Blouses have undergone a huge makeover too. No more deep cut with latkans, as collared blouses, boat-necks, round-necks with borders and printed blouses ruled TV this year. Men too are wearing structured outfits, keeping simplicity in mind.
