Exclusive! Actress Shruti Das gets hitched to director Swarnendu Samaddar; says “Wanted to keep our wedding an intimate ceremony”

It’s official! Tolly Para’s yet another popular celeb couple, Shruti Das-Swarnendu Samaddar, took the leap of faith. The lovebirds had their registry wedding at a plush Kolkata hotel on Sunday. It was an intimate but dreamy affair.
Shruti and Swarnendu, who have been dating for quite some time, kept their special day an intimate affair. The bride told ETimes TV, “It is a dream come true moment for both of us.We have been together for quite some time and felt, it’s perfect moment to take the leap.”
The actress has been striking a fine balance between her shoot schedule and wedding preparation. The duo wanted to keep the big news under the wrap and let the wedding bells make all the noise. It wasn’t an easy task. She said, “We wanted to keep our registry wedding a private and intimate affair. Only family members and close ones were invited.”
Swarnendu, who is busy with his commitments on Bengali small screen, also wanted an intimate celebration. “It’s a really precious moment for us and our family. We decided to keep the special moment an intimate celebration,” said Swarnendu.
Shruti met her beau during the shoot of her debut show ‘Trinayani’, which featured Gourab Roy Chowdhury as the male lead. Swarnendu used to direct the show. Shruti and Swarnendu eventually fell for each other.
