Dhulokona to Gaatchhora: Here are the top five Bengali shows of the week

This week’s TRP chart has some interesting entries. Bengali TV’s favourite shows ‘Mithai’ and ‘Gaatchhora’ both have outnumbered Manali Manisha Dey and Indrasish Roy starrer ‘Dhulokona’. Comparatively newly launched shows ‘Gouri Elo’ and ‘Anurager Chhowa’ have performed well this week too. On the other hand, ‘Mon Phagun’ couldn’t make it to the top five clubs. Here’s a quick look...

Lalon-Phuljhuri’s story has managed to cast its spell on audiences yet again. The latest twist in the story has worked in favour of the show crowing ‘Dhulokona’ as the most-watched Bengali daily soap this time. The storyline is revolving around the crisis in protagonists Lalon-Phuljhuri's life and how the latter denies marrying him. Interestingly, this is the first time it is in the numero uno spot on TRP charts. Team ‘Dhulokona’ is on cloud nine as they finally bagged the top spot on the TRP charts.

Gourab Chatterjee-Solanki Roy starrer ‘Gatchhora’ has slipped to the second spot this week. It was in the top position last week. ‘Mithai’, on the other hand, has also bagged the second spot on TRP charts. It has climbed up the ladder after being in the third spot in the last week.

Protagonist Gouri’s devotion and prayers have been answered it seems. Last week, the show became fodder for trolls after ‘Gouri Elo’ featured a scene where village belle Gouri worshipped the replica of Mona Lisa’s painting as a goddess. Despite trolls and becoming a hot topic of discussion on social media, the TV show fared well on TRP charts. It has bagged the third spot this week.

Gymnast bahu Phoring’s zeal seems to have made a strong connection with the audience. The show has been scoring consistently well in terms of TRP since launch. This week it is in the fourth spot.

The fifth spot on TRP charts has three TV shows. ‘Lokkhi Kakima Superstar’, ‘Uma’ and ‘Anurager Chhowa’ have bagged the fifth spot together. The latest twists and turns in ‘Lokkhi Kakima Superstar’ have worked in favour of the show. Neel Bhattacharya and Shinjinee Chakraborty starrer ‘Uma’ has been featuring back-to-back twists as well. On the other hand, Dibyojyoti Dutta and Swastika Ghosh’s chemistry in ‘Anuraager Chhowa’ is loved by the audience.
