Anu Malik’s television appearance to Jeet hosting a reality show: Film personalities turn to the small screen

Last year, Bengali television witnessed a star-studded affair with Bollywood actor Govinda saying yes to ‘Dance Bangla Dance Season 11’. Almost entire year, celebs from Bollywood including Anil Kapoor, Helen, Remo D’Souza, Sonu Nigam, Urmila Matondkar, Sunny Leone made guest appearances on Bengali TV. On the other hand, a number of senior Bengali actors, who were absent from the small screen for quite some time, made a comeback as well. ‘Super Singer Season 3’, which stars Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, and Koushiki Chakraborty as the esteemed judges, never fail to impress the audience with surprise elements. In absence of Sonu Nigam and Kumar Sanu, the show featured a number of eminent music personalities including Anu Malik, Akriti Kakar, and Mahalakshmi Iyer. Interestingly, the judges’ panel welcomed singer-composer Anu Malik appeared on the show for a couple weeks as a special judge. Superstar Jeet is going to cast a spell on the Bengali audience yet again. After a successful stint as a celebrity judge in ‘Dance Bangla Dance 11’, he will host a couple-based show, titled ‘Ismart Jodi’ that will feature popular couples as the contestants. Koushik, who is equally eloquent on stage and in front of camera, finally agreed to return to the small screen. The actor mostly stays busy with films, theatre, and other projects. He was last seen playing a prominent role in high-budgeted show ‘Bhoomikanya’ which ran from July 2018 to January 2019. After almost three years, Koushik will feature in a daily soap again. Though Aparajita kept her connection with the small screen alive by hosting culinary shows or appearing as a celebrity judge, she gave daily soaps a miss for a long time. Bengali audience simply missed her in fiction shows and the actress was flooded with queries regarding the same. The actress, who has been busy with movies, finally agreed to do a daily soap.
