Adrija Addy Roy on ‘Mou Er Bari’ completing 100 episodes: The hard-hitting storyline and realistic approach helped us to portray more convincingly

Bengali daily soap ‘Mou Er Bari’, starring Adrija Addy Roy and Abhishek Veer Sharma in the lead roles, has successfully completed 100 episodes. The team had a celebration party on the sets. Adrija, who plays the lead role in the show, caught up with ETimes TV in a candid conversation.

On striking a century

Adrija is playing the role of a doting daughter in the show. The actress is elated with their success. “We have crossed 100 episodes. It is the collective effort of the entire team. We all have worked hard to achieve this,” says Adrija.

'Past few months have been magical'

“For Mou Er Bari, we started shooting in July and it is already December now. Past few months have been magical. Time flies so quickly. Having a great team by your side is an ultimate bliss and I barely realised how fast months passed,” says the actress.

Celebration time

Dipanwita Nath, Abhishek, Adrija and all other cast and crew members celebrated their first milestone together on the sets. “We had a great time on the shooting sets. A beautiful cake was brought. We turned on the music and danced our heart out during the cozy party,” says Adrija.

'We are a family'

Long hours of shooting and spending time on the sets brought the cast and crew together. Shooting sets eventually become a second home for the cast and crew. On a similar note, Adrija says, “The entire unit of Mou Er Bari has become my family. We all have a good time together. Working with them is real fun and I feel tired during the long schedule because of them. The team is supportive and encouraging which helps us to perform better.” In this picture, Adrija can be seen candidly posing with her reel parents. “Mou Er Bari has a unique and relatable storyline

'Mou Er Bari' has a storyline that is relatable to the audience. The show revolves around a girl named Mou, who is the only child of her parents. Her dad suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. The story questions the age-old concept that a son should take care of his parents while the duty of a daughter is to take care of her in-laws. ‘Mou Er Bari’ highlights that even after the wedding, a girl can perform all her duties towards her parents and in-laws. Adrija shared that the hard-hitting storyline and realistic approach help her portray the character. “Mou Er Bari has a unique storyline which is easily relatable. The hard-hitting storyline and realistic approach helped us to portray more convincingly. For example, the current track is revolving around Mou’s initial days at her in-laws’ place after her wedding. And the story showcases exactly what a new bride mostly faces. The realistic approach really helped me emote better.”
