Bhaswar Chatterjee doesn’t hesitate to speak his mind whether it is a socially relevant topic or any issue related to the entertainment industry. The actor recently raised his voice against gender discrimination at workplace, especially in Bengali entertainment industry.
Bhaswar highlighted how his female colleagues, whether she is an executive producer, costume designer or a casting director, has to face lewd comments at the workplace even after tasting success. He explained how he feels when other co-workers talk low about their female teammates saying they've climbed up the ladder by an ‘easy route’. Bhaswar also openly criticised the ‘practice’ in which his other colleagues use some nasty words to address the female colleagues behind their backs. Irked by such comments, Bhaswar shared that he feels that the society hasn’t progressed a bit although people keep talking about ‘gender neutrality' and ‘women empowerment’.
