Ganesh Ji is situated in the centre of Venice in the San Polo district, and it is a quaint relaxing spot with nice views over the canal. The restaurant serves tasty and authentic Indian curries, tandoori dishes, starters, and breads and sweets, in a relaxed atmosphere.
It’s a little pricey, but then this is Venice and it’s the only Indian restaurant. The set meals are the best value for money, and you can choose from veg or non veg. Be aware that in addition to any food order, there is also a cover charge of €2.50, which is quite common for restaurants in Venice. Also, the service could be better but this is really the only place in Venice to get traditional Indian food.
