Housed in a funky building with geometric shapes and weird angles, the internationally renowned Vitra Design Museum is designed by celebrated architect Frank Gehry. The privately owned white building is in keeping with the theme. The museum is a fun place to be even for those who are not interested in design and architecture. Hailed as one of the world’s most important museums of design, showcasing ideas, themes and artefacts from past and present, the museum attempts to examine the relationship between design, form, utility, culture and architecture. The museum hosts two annual exhibitions while the exhibits themselves span a variety of themes, such as sustainability and future technologies.
