World’s most extreme adventure travels!
Every traveller has their own list of ultimate experiences that they would like to indulge in once in their lifetime. These experiences can vary from indulging in a simple activity like eating street food in Singapore. Or, maybe there are those whose list comprises extreme outdoor adventures.
Here, we have put together a list of ultimate trips for those who enjoy extreme sports, along with most beautiful landscapes where you can experience them.
Swimming the Great Barrier Reef
It remains in the top bucket list of almost every diver. The spot is not only home to more than 1500 species of fish and 400 different types of coral, but is also the natural wonder that has been rapidly eroding, thanks to global warming and coral bleaching. In short, visit this spot when there is still time.
Climb Mount Everest
This is not for everyone, but remains in the wishlist of both hikers and non-hikers alike. However, this is one experience that is best enjoyed by truly experienced travellers. Apart from this, if you are lucky enough to have the time, experience, and funds needed to reach Everest's summit, there’s nothing to stop you.
Trekking the Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China needs no introduction, and this spot can be explored in different ways. In fact, different sections of the wall offer different experiences, such as trekking, as well as getting to an isolated place where you can take photographs without the crowds. Then, there is the Great Wall Adventure Club that offers excursions up to 12 days long, which offer you the opportunity to walk around 50 miles and camp overnight in the structure's watchtowers. This can be a life-altering experience and must be in your travel bucket list for sure.
Sleep under the Northern Lights
The experience of sleeping under the elusive Northern Lights cannot be explained in words. So many factors come into play when you watch the technicolour phenomenon, such as time of the year, location, weather conditions. The arctic area boasts of being the planet's best for lights viewing, especially when you get to sleep in a mobile Aurora Bubble Sled or an igloo hotel.
Sand surfing in the Sahara
The dunes of the Sahara are massive, and tailor-made for extreme sports. The curves are of ideal shapes and are best suited for sand surfing and sandboarding. With endless swathes of wild terrain, you will get ample opportunities to explore the off-the-beaten-track here, and enjoy longer trials via the Sahara. Apart from this sport, sandboarding is another activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Here, sandboards and sleds can be rented or purchased at various Bazaars in Merzouga or Hassi Labiad.
Skydiving in Dubai
If you're attempting skydiving in Dubai for the first time, tandem jump is what you will go for. It will allow you to experience the excitement of a free fall, but with the help of trained instructors. To start with, you will be tied securely to the instructors via harness, who will guide you through the entire jump from exit through free fall, apart from piloting the canopy and landing.
World’s highest cliff jump
If you have been planning to experience the thrill of cliff jumping, then why not do it from the world’s highest one! Apart from a healthy dose of adrenaline and amazing views, there will be several other travellers to motivate and challenge you to test your courage here in Queensland, New Zealand. The Shotover Canyon Swing in Queenstown boasts of being the world's highest cliff jump, which offers you a death-defying drop from 360 ft into the canyon below. You will be latched to a 650-ft cable, and reach speed of up to 90 mph before the cable catches you above the Shotover River below.
