Weird and funny days celebrated across the globe!
Humans just need a reason to celebrate! Sometimes, the reasons might not even seem reasonable enough, but who cares? You’ll be amazed to know that people around the world celebrate some absolutely weird days, which might sound funny and crazy at the same time.
Today, we are going to inform you about some of the most amusing and unusual days celebrated around the globe.
Work Naked Day (February 4)
Don’t take it literally. This doesn’t mean that you have to come to the office without any clothes! It simply means that you can take a day off from the office and work from the comfort of your home in your most comfortable clothes, or no clothes (depends on you!).
Plan a Solo Vacation Day (March 1)
I am all ears for this one. This day encourages people to go on a solo vacation. You don’t need a companion to travel the world. You can do it yourself and make all the plans on March 1.
National Underwear Day (August 5)
This day celebrates our 'inner’ power! Well, as funny as it may sound, you are supposed to wear your favourite underwear on this day. Themed parties are organised to celebrate the day when people can walk in their undergarments.
National Cleavage Day (March or April)
National Cleavage Day, also known as NCD, is celebrated in South Africa every year in the month of March or April. This day might sound weird to ears but it’s definitely for a cause. The funds collected against it goes to a foundation that helps South Africans affected by blood diseases.
National Bromance Day (August 14)
No one knows who or how this day came into being! August 14 celebrates Bromance Day in a totally manly way, which is exactly six months after Valentine’s Day. It is one of those days when guys go around showing how much they love their buddies. Sounds fun!
World Mosquito Day (August 20)
The world celebrates Mosquito Day on August 20 every year. The day commemorates British doctor Sir Ronald Ross's discovery that Anopheles mosquitoes transmit the malaria to human beings. The discovery was made in 1897.
International Nose Picking Day (April 23)
Can you believe a day is dedicated to something as gross as nose picking! The idea might sound yikes but no one really knows how or when or why the day is celebrated in the first place. Well, go ahead and pick your nose in public without being embarrassed. Not funny!
International No Brainer Day (February 27)
Well, we all need this day I suppose. A day when people are allowed to stop overthinking and over analysing everything. It’s a day to relax and free your brain from all the worries.
Ask a Stupid Question Day (September 28)
Well, you read that right! Every year on September 28, the USA celebrates Ask a Stupid Question Day. This might sound stupid, but the idea behind celebrating such a day was quite nobel. The day originated during the 80s to encourage little kids to speak up their mind in the class without being embarrassed.
