Pre-pandemic travel
There is so much we have lost since the pandemic, and travel is one of the worst hit industries. Our lives are not the same anymore, our travels are not the same. We are now left wondering whether they will be the same ever again. Will it always be this way? Whatever the case may be, our pre-pandemic travel days seem like a distant dream now. Here are some of the things we dearly miss.
02
Live shows
One of the most exciting things to travel for, live shows have pretty much taken the backseat post-pandemic. Live concerts or even theatre are now a thing of the past, as more artists are going online with their shows. Gone are the days when we could brush against others at a concert, or sit in a crowded auditorium.
03
Dining
One of the greatest joys of travelling is dining at a new destination. Food tourism plays a major role in modern travel, as more and more attractions revolve around eating. It is a sure way to understand different cultures, their eating habits, and more. Dining certainly has taken a hit, as countries have gone under lockdown, and even after reopening have only allowed limited seating. Who would have thought?
04
Nightlife
Another major travel attraction, nightlife, has been hit due to the pandemic. Places such as Goa, which are known for their exciting nightlight, have been silenced due to the pandemic. Travellers like to explore every aspect of a destination, and after sundown, it is usually the party hubs that are crawling with people. But these days the story is a lot different. While some parts have managed to open up nightlife, most others are still under lockdown.
05
Museums
A highlight of any destination, museums give us a deep insight into the country and its history, art, etc. Nowadays it is hard to get into a museum, as there are numerous rules to be followed. Moreover, most museums around the world are still closed to visitors. It is certainly one of the greatst travel experience that we are missing out today.
