These are our travel resolutions for 2022! What are yours?

Socialise more
It’s not an easy task to ditch our smartphone, and even more difficult to avoid social media. But, we want to travel this year because we want to, and not because we want to scream on social media that we are travellers! So, will try to socialise more with people and try not to get lost in our phones. This pandemic has taught us in a hard way how relationships, loved ones, and people around us are more important from our phones.
Travel insurance
With COVID pandemic playing spoilsport for travel, we have seen flights getting cancelled wherever cases start to rise. And although travel insurance has been around all the time, its importance grew many folds during this crisis time. So, if we are sure of our travel plans, we will make sure that the travel insurance is not ignored.
Take the off-beaten track
Never be afraid to explore off-the-beaten track. This time, we will challenge ourselves, make spontaneous plans, and set off to see the unknown, to see what surprises such travels will offer us.
Try new things
India is indeed incredible, and there are endless things to learn and explore. Go out to explore flea markets, and learn about cuisines, culture, and all-things special about a particular place. Take a detour, and explore street markets, instead of malls, eat at roadside cafes, instead of restaurants, or get up before the sun rises to witness the surreal beauty.
Go on road trips
Road trips are all-time hits to explore a place, no matter whether you are travelling during non-pandemic or pandemic times. This year, we plan to go on more road trips, as this will allow us to explore more places en route, and also offers us the freedom of travelling the way we want.
Travel responsibly
Tourism and travel are one of the largest industries in the world. However, one cannot also ignore the fact how this industry is impacting the environment directly and indirectly too. The onus is on us to be aware of the present situation, and pledge to say no to polluting the destination that we are visiting, and follow all the laws of that place that are in place to ensure hygiene and cleanliness.
Connect with locals
Connecting with locals offers you the best opportunity to know about the place, its culture, and food. Most travellers are usually sceptical of doing so, or are just not comfortable to blend in with the locals. So, this time, we resolve to take a step forward and find out! We are sure, we will have many exciting stories to share by the end of the year.
Travel to a new domestic destination
If you have been an avid traveller, you know the thrill of exploring new destinations. With COVID pandemic in 2020 and 2021 ruining all our travel plans, we plan to explore a new domestic destination, which will cut off some risk of travelling internationally. Plus, our country has so many gems that are waiting to be discovered!
Stay fit to enjoy travelling
Last but not the least, your health! And it goes without saying that if you take care of your health, you will be able to do all the things mentioned above. And at the same time, you can indulge in all the activities while travelling, and have a blast all the while. So this New Year, we will make all efforts to stay fit while travelling, and spread the word.
Create beautiful memories
How do you capture the essence of your travel experience? Well, photos are the most common ones, while saving the travel tickets, picking up bird feathers or flower petals, or just collecting brochures from hotels and restaurants, can take you back in time of your trip. Do also let us know if you have more creative ideas to add here.
