The famous five: A walkthrough all Universal Studios in the world
We all are aware of the famous global attraction Universal Studios which basically are popular theme parks and resorts. For those who don’t know, there are only five Universal Studios in the world; Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Japan, Universal Studios Singapore and Universal Beijing Resort.
With its headquarters in Orlando, Florida, these parks and Resorts are best noted for their fascinating themed attractions from the world of popular cinemas, TV, cartoons, comics and games, among others.
Let’s take a tour of the famous five Universal Studios across the world.
Universal Studios Hollywood
The first ever Universal Studios theme park was inaugurated back in 1964. Spread over 415 acres, the park is home to some incredible entertainment-themed restaurants, amazing nightclubs and shops. There’s also the Cinemark Universal CityWalk Cinemas with 19 screens.
Universal Orlando Resort, Florida
This one opened its doors on June 7, 1990. The park is known for its adventure rides, themed islands and hotels. There are several hotels inside, including the famous Loews Portofino Bay Hotel which was opened in September 1999 and Hard Rock Hotel opened in December 2000. A water park was also added to the park comprising 18 attractions.
Universal Studios, Japan
Universal Studios Japan was opened in 2001 in the Konohana-ku district of Osaka. This was the first Universal Studios to open in any Asian region. The park features attractions similar to those of Universal Orlando and Hollywood. From the CityWalk district and theme attractions to restaurants and hotels, there’s almost everything inside Japan’s Universal Studios.
Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore
Situated inside Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore, Universal Studios Singapore was inaugurated on May 28, 2011. It was the second second theme park to open in Asian nation after Japan. The park is quite attractive and huge and features some very fascinating attractions. There are some 28 rides inside the park and seven themed zones namely Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Hollywood, New York City, Sci-Fi City, Far Far Away and Madagascar.
Universal Beijing Resort, China
Inaugurated on September 20, 2021, Universal Beijing Resort is the latest addition to the theme park in Asia. The park features interesting rides and themed attractions from cinemas, television shows and animations.
