Located in Maravanthe town in Karnataka, Maravanthe beach is a hidden gem as far as beach destinations in India are concerned. Maravanthe has the Arabian Sea to its right and the Sauparnika River on its left adding a different charm to it. Thanks to the long stretch of white sand shore that runs into many miles, Maravanthe beach is often referred to as the Virgin beach. One aspect that revs up the charm of this beach is its proximity to Kollur and the Kodachadri hills. The best time to visit Maravanthe is from September to March when the swimming opportunity at the beach is at its best. The endless sand trail, the calming sea making its presence felt at the side and the palm tree lined coastal route make up for a perfect beach vacation.
The Maravanthe Beach is a perfect place for picnic and thus families from the neighbouring towns do come here for picnics on the beach. The beach happens to be a great attraction for kids who thoroughly enjoy the watersports available at the beach. For every avid traveller who visits the Maravanthe Beach, one of the things that should be there right at the top of his to do list is to witness the stunning sunset at the horizon, sitting on the pristine sand of the beach.
