Sulabh International Toilet Museum, New Delhi
Well, you read that correctly! We are talking about a full-fledged museum dedicated to toilets. The concept was developed by Mr. Bindheshwar Pathak, who is an international expert on sanitation. This unusual museum brilliantly showcases the evolution of toilets. A number of toilets are put on display here belonging to the bygone eras.
Paldi Kite Museum, Gujarat
Kite flying is a cultural activity in Gujarat, and this museum is an ode to that age-old tradition. Situated at Sanskar Kendra, the museum was founded by Bhanu Shah in 1984. It houses an interesting collection of various kinds of kites and some really gorgeous photographs. Entry to the museum is free.
Mayong Central Museum and Emporium, Assam
Mayang is a small village in Assam, which is known as the Land of Black Magic. The museum here is built around the same concept and features a range of ancient witchcraft manuscripts. Also, there are swords put on display here, which were used for sacrificing purposes. Visitors here also get to see some interesting magic shows.
Fossil Park Museum, Himachal Pradesh
It is one of the most unique and offbeat museums in India situated in Saketi region of Himachal Pradesh. The museum is a treasure-trove of ancient fossils and has a unique preservation of Shivalik mammals.
Baywatch Wax Museum, Tamil Nadu
This wax museum is situated in Kanyakumari, and features a number of wax statues of eminent global personalities including Mahatma Gandhi, Michael Jackson, Mother Teresa and Einstein among others.
