One of the oldest neighbourhoods in British Columbia, where Vancouver had its first origins, Gastown is a national historic site. If Gassy Jack Deighton, lent the settlement its name, then every street here tells a tale―be it the Bloody Street, which reminisces the blood splashed by the butchers after a hard day’s work or the Water Street, which houses the famous landmark of Gastown―the Old Steam Clock. Help us delete comments that do not follow these guidelines by marking them offensive. Let's work together to keep the conversation civil.
