Lego parks around the world for a fun family vacation
Living with COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on everyone. Especially children. So many children (and parents) will agree that a growing child needs to play outside, share a fun space with family and friends. Not all vacations that us adults like are perfect for kids. Let’s be honest, how exciting can it be for a kid to go look at the Colosseum in Rome or the Vatican Museums? In the words of the cleanliness guru Marie Kondo, “It does not spark joy.” And to all those brave adults, just how much of Baby Shark and Cocomelon is too much?
Children also deserve their kind of holiday, and we have these places with amazing Lego parks to help you plan that well-deserved vacation.
Billund, Denmark
This is all where it started. The first Legoland park – Legoland Billund Resort – opened in 1968. That was more than 50 years ago! For 54 years, this park has been able to capture the imagination of kids and adults alike. This fun-filled place has nine Legolands, Miniland being the most exciting one. It is made up of Lego bricks! This one’s a must-visit!
Windsor, UK
The theme park and resort Legoland Windsor Resort in Windsor has exciting rides and workshops that kids aged between three and twelve can enjoy. It is also one of the most popular theme parks in the UK. One of the most recent attractions, Lego Mythica: World of Mythical Creatures, is making plenty of heads turn with its fun rides. Pretty amazing experience for the adults as well.
Günzburg, Germany
When in Germany, a visit to the Legoland Deutschland is a must. The park is located in Günzburg, a short distance from Munich. The park’s Miniland consists of reproductions of several popular structures and places from across the globe, such as Berlin, Frankfurt, Venice, The Netherlands. All made of Lego bricks.
Johor, Malaysia
Come here for the virtual reality roller coaster ride. The theme park Legoland Malaysia Resort is located in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. Apart from the usual fun with rides, visitors can also enjoy the Sealife. There are over 40 exciting rides to try out.
Dubai, UAE
It’s all about bricks and water slides here at Legoland Dubai. The theme park is perfect for children between the ages of two to twelve years old. There are interactive adventure activities that children can enjoy with their families.
Nagoya, Japan
Everything about this sounds exciting. Japan never fails to impress us and Legoland Japan Resort keeps this tradition alive in the most exciting way. Think robots. There are robotic workshops here where kids of all ages can learn about robots and build their own too!
Carlsbad, California, U.S
Legoland California Resort is located in Carlsbad, California. The Explorer Island section of the theme park is just amazing. As the name suggests, this section of the park is all about exploration, dinosaurs and hunt for fossils. Hit the sand pit and get digging for fossils, kids.
Florida, US
When in Florida, Legoland Florida is a must-visit. The world’s second largest Lego park now stands where the historic theme park Cypress Garden used to be. The park’s water park is one of the most popular attractions. What better way to beat the Florida sun?
