The nearest airport to Manali is at Bhuntar, which is located approximately at a distance 50 km away from Manali. There are domestic flights that operate regularly, which connect Bhuntar with Delhi and Chandigarh. Once you arrive at the airport, you will find pre-paid taxis, which you can book as per your convenience. A word of caution—due to weather conditions, it is advised that one should not rely only on flights for getting to or out of Manali.
By road
By train
Manali is not directly connected by train. The closest train station will be in Chandigarh (315 km) or Pathankot (290 km). So, if you are going from Delhi to Manali, you can go up to Chandigarh and then opt for a bus or taxi for the onward journey. Further, the distance from Chandigarh to Manali is 250 km, which you can travel half the distance by train. Try to book it well in advance in case you don’t want to miss the train journey.
