Church of St. Francis Of Assisi
Calling this beautiful church Goa’s hidden secret won’t be incorrect. This impressive church has been overlooked for years. But carvings, paintings and designs on the altar have been attracting visitors from everywhere. There’s also an Archaeological Museum in the convent building next to the church.

Fort Auguda
One of the prime attractions in Goa, Fort Aguada was built in 1612 by the Portuguese. It was constructed to safeguard Old Goa from outside attacks. An architectural splendour, the fort mesmerises with its grandness. Not many must be aware of the fact that Fort Aguada is also known for having Asia’s first-ever lighthouse!

Fort Tiracol
Also known as Fort Tiracol, Terekhol Fort on the banks of River Tiracol is now converted into a heritage hotel. This 17th century fort is a Portuguese masterpiece! The fort boasts of seven rooms, which are named after seven days in the week. One can enjoy some splendid views of the Arabian Sea and the Querim beach from the top here.

Cabo Raj Bhavan
Another historial as well as architectural marvel in Goa is the Cabo Raj Bhavan which is centuries old. The home of the Governor of Goa, this double-storey structure is spectacular. The place is a treasure-trove of antique artefacts and collectibles, including Chinese porcelain, chandeliers and silverware.

Basilica of Bom Jesus
This is one of the most famous churches in India built in 1605. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Basilica of Bom Jesus is a significant landmark in Goa boasting of gorgeous architecture. The church is known for its baroque architecture and has magnificent interiors built in Mosaic-Corinthian style. The major attraction here is the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier, the famous Spanish missionary.
