Chadar Trek or the Zanskar Gorge trek is the famous walk across the frozen Zanskar River in Ladakh. It is one of the toughest treks there, as walking on frozen rivers is pretty risky as it is. So, be a good sport and follow the leader!

Reach Yuksom for this trek, that’s where this trek starts from. You are in Kanchenjunga ranges, so do take a moment to take in the sights. The view is splendid and the trails difficult. Trek with care.

Who says winter treks can’t be for beginner and younger demography? Nag Tibba trek is an easy one that beginners (even children) can do, of course with proper supervision and guidance. For this, you’ll need to be in Pantwari in Dhanaulti.

Located in Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand, Har ki Dun gets snowfall in December and January. But if you don’t want to hit peak winter, September to December is a great time period for exploring this route. This one’s also an easy trek.

Moderate in nature, Markha Valley trek in winter is best for intermediate trekkers. You’ll be in Hemis National Park’s area so you can expect to see a lot of interesting wildlife.
