The Museum of Broken Relationships is one of the most innovative museums in the world. The museum was founded by Zagreb-based artists, Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišić, with their leftover personal items after the breakup of their 4-year-old relationship. Initially conceptualised as a travelling exhibition, it has found a permanent home in Zagreb’s upper town. The museum now houses more than 2000 exhibits of random objects donated by people across the globe. The concept outlines that every object posses memories and emotions and represents heartbreaking stories of individuals. Opened in 2010, this privately funded museum is one of the most visited spots in Zagreb. After a successful journey across the world, the second Museum of Broken Relationships has opened in Los Angeles, USA. Wander around the museum and take a look at some of the quirkiest objects that have witnessed painful breakups between two souls. Some of the captions and narrations will leave a lump in your throat. The cafe next door is a cool place to hang-out; they have Jazz bands playing live every Thursday eve!
